@TinyHouse4Life @deprecated_ii I have never done any canning yet. I have done a bunch of fermenting, but never sealed anything (either hot water or pressure). I am hoping this year I might produce enough berries to make some jam and can some of that up for winter. My tomatoes are looking pretty pathetic so I'm not expecting a great harvest. I only have one cucumber plant this year because I had some pretty low germination rates (0% of the cucumber seeds I planted made it) on a lot of my now aged seed. I bought a couple plants but only one survived. It's starting to make cucumbers but I'll be lucky to get a jar of pickles from it.
I have some pumpkins starting to show up so maybe they'll surprise me and put out a good yield. I will probably also have pears to can up now that I think about it. One of the pear trees is loaded up. I will probably try and make cider with whatever surplus of apples we get. I am still working my way through cider vinegar I made a few years back. I still have about 1 gallon. It would be cool to replenish my reserves from apples that grew on the property. The last batch was made from one of the local farms where you can either buy the fruit at their little grocery store or go out to the orchard and pick them yourself.
