1) The 1000 is for direct deaths, not the '6 months later #diedsuddenly heart attacks' that covid also causes.
2) covid causes permanent brain, lung, and immune system damage - ie it causes comorbidities for both covid and other disease to later deal the death blow.
3) that's still a 9/11 every 3 days.
20 years ago people would not put up with junkies going around stabbing all the children in north america with HIV positive needles and we should treat people who spread covid no differently. And 3,000 people dying due to a preventable cause was still a big deal
