If 12-year-olds are marinating their brains in the most degenerate fetish porn imaginable, there should be a competent authority to uphold social morals. They don't have to be heavyhanded, and I'd prefer them not to be in most cases, but the idea that the state can't have any role whatsoever in promoting social morality is false, and is employed in bad faith by those who use the power of the state to actively promote vice.
