T Alex Beamish@foone They really used to do this on service calls when servicing minicomputers in the 70's and 80's. They'd put the suspect card on a card extender, use a fire extinguisher on the board, then power the unit up. The chip that heated up first (and melted the snow from the extinguisher) was usually the bad one.
