Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks@GabeLakmann Sully would be - and to my knowledge is - a good chief pilot guy. Too many of them are more HR nerds and suck ups than actual pilots. A good Chief has the skill and experience to sift bullshit whining and pointless complaints from actual SoF issues. Not everything is always cut and dry, so it helps when you got someone who’s judicious.
I just really have enmity with the guys who lean into the stuff like “company says we’re not allowed to read or be distracted during cruise, you shouldn’t be listening to podcasts or anything”. Hell, there are guys who will sit there and read the only “approved” literature - company manuals as if that’s better.
Some guys are just really autistic, they really get into this 100% perfect pilot routine, it’s like they enjoy the hardship and boredom because it proves they’re a REAL aviator
