ln@gsuberland @jacqueline oh also another big consideration was how many pins have to go to the mobo. i would've use an mspm0 to do all the bat management per board with some protocol over i2c or uart or whatevs then, but complexity and even more mcus aren't too great.
but yeah, running the packs in parallel or switchable was an idea so that even different chemistries could be used, technically.
