xianc78@Indigo Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but yeah, the city is where the culture is. Ideally, I would like to live in a rural area, but easy access to a major city, but I don't know how practical this is.
People expect a close-knitted community when they think about living in a rural area. I think that's because people conflate living in the country-side with living in the village which are actually two different things and the latter is really only a thing in Europe and Asia, unless you are talking about hippie communes or intentional communities.
