Some are set up specifically for file-sharing and others aren't, it's actually a pretty good setup. That being said I just found out they did release a French climate activists metadata and browser fingerprint (both of which make it trivial to identify you, to authorities. I'm fairly sure they wouldn't do that for piracy but if you want to be absolutely sure the only one I know of that for sure hasn't released anything to glowies and also has a great reputation is Mullvad.
Honestly, if you're going to sign up for one I'd recommend Mullvad at this point now that I know Proton releases info to feds.
