   I called the #NewYorkTimes and cancelled my subscription this morning--I have a #nonbinary child. I told the very nice lady I spoke to why I was cancelling, and asked her to pass on to management that they were putting kids like mine in danger. She said she would pass that along, then offered me the editorial department's phone number so that I could also call them and let them know why I'd cancelled.

   I did indeed call & leave a message. The number is 212-556-3652.

     @ArneBab I'm seriously disappointed that you support this kind of misogynist extremism. The witch hunt against JKR is really dangerous. Women have already been suffering physical assault by radicalized trans activists for years, not to mention an endless torrent of death threats, vandalizing of their property, being hounded out of their jobs, etc., and it's only getting more and more extreme. Now people are saying feminists are responsible for the murder of a 15 year-old child, and no question this level of delusional hatred against feminists is going to end up in a number of renewed assaults down the line.

     It's a delusion to think that such stated views aren't helping to fan a climate of fear and revulsion around trans people.

     As a trans person in the UK my life was pretty ordinary (married, work, family with kids) until these views started being published widely.

     Now recorded transphopic hatecrimes are up 56% from 2021/2022.

     I now personally know people in my community who've been assaulted for being their true selves.

     There is a climate of fear here in the UK.
