     Yes, it is very important to put productivity on a pedestal, sister. Well, I guess men are prioritizing a different sort of productivity…not so much monetary, but fertility. That’s okay, right?

     @WashedOutGundamPilot I don't blame women. I think they are reacting unconsciously to "the system".
     
     Women are hypergamous, they want to "marry up". It's not a culturally thing, it's at the biological level. This is fine because it's suppose to encourage men to improve themselves to get access to her, and so transforming them into husbands who can support their families. Men, meanwhile, need to feel like they and their work matters, and having a wife and kids who needs your support reinforces the above.
     
     But society has, for the last 40 years at least, increasingly promoted the idea that men don't matter. It blames all of societies ills on men (patriarchy), or pathologizing male behavior as "toxic masculinity". College and major employers have de-prioritizes men at so many levels now that huge numbers of men fall through the cracks. They've checked out, why bother with anything? Women are left confused, they feel pride in their position, that they've done everything right, but detest all of the men they see around them. They feel like victims of their success.

     @Elliptica @WashedOutGundamPilot It’ll only be made worse, you have 2-3 generations of unmarried childless vindictive powerful women who see men checked out or “high value” men date way below their social class.

     With more corporate and political power, these women will lash out at all men, the divide will become far worse.

     Are these fake women? Do they have dicks? (Actually a troon would probably consider a guy not knowing what transgenderism is to be an ideal opportunity)
     Were all the guys telling me "nah bro young women don't actually approve of transgenderism it's totally just an act to avoid being cancelled" wrong?

     @nierenstein @WashedOutGundamPilot Because they equate "caring about Current Year Issues" with intellect and being smart. These are women who have been told "you're so smart! and such a good student!" their entire lives. Then they get to the watered down brainwashing centers we call colleges, and they don't actually exercise their intellect; they are told that Right Thinking people on The Right Side Of History must care very deeply about all these causes. Dump them out in the real world, and they have nothing but a piece of paper and a set of political morals to parse the world with. They aren't smart, they're average, which makes it even harder to judge intellect or talk outside the narrow sphere of instruction they've received.

     I've gotten far less dates since I made that rule.

     I get the feeling that's part of the reason there's so little real debate on the matter. Shitlibs can't comprehend that you might have something insightful to say so they think you're going to "argue disingenuously" or "perpetuate fake news" or some other cope.

     @H_A_Copington @PunishedD @nierenstein A fren had this problem the other day and it made me realize I had totally slacked on teaching any drills to my lady. I ran her through the fire extinguishers, what to look for, what to watch for in case of a freak hay fire, the general lay of the plumbing system, and then went back and colored the Immediate action items with orange tape so if anything bad happens she just has to…..sprint outside an 1/8 mile and pull it.

     So we’ll only have like, mild flooding.

     @PunishedD @H_A_Copington @nierenstein That just means I have to fix her treadmill again. I’m like 3 inches away from just going to a commercial supply and paying $5k for a real gym one.

     Between that and doing some pilates she’s…..well about as combat-effective as I was at 9 yo but it’s better than nothing.

I’ve known more than a few kids with ZERO skills, to them even the simplest stuff like mending electrical cords was magic. When I showed up to my dorms there were 2 guys using space heaters with naked wires jammed in the socket.
