   The OSI is a joke compared to the FSF, they're like the people who use BSD licenses for everything and try to tell you corporations stealing your code with no attribution is true freedom.

     @PhenomX6 I similarly consider the promotion of 'weak' #FOSS licenses to be disingenuous. Certainly anyone who promotes them to be 'more free'. That's entirely a question of perspective... and it implicitly asserts that only proprietary software can provide returns to developers. Which, based on personal experience, I can say is false. @webmink

     Before they ejected their founder and declared they would no longer work with the FSF for having ties to their founder still, RMS wrote this about the OSI:

     This is why he does not use the words Open Source but rather Free Software and why anyone who stands by him will use FOSS or FLOSS instead.
