   I like how people act like drainers are this super common landmine, where there's a mystical hacker team who only requires you to click "cancel" on some random phone popup in a moment of absentmindedness

   but whenever I look deeper into it the story is always some brown guy whining that he got zeroed out after getting a call and reading off hi seed phrase to "metamask support" in order to "prove you own this account"

   Everybody wants to pretend the technical skill of hackers is what does them in....never the social. Then when they complain they have to dance around the fact that they, without pause, happily read their 2FA codes to a stranger on the phone

   Also this guy is undeserving of wealth for this horrendously fugly NFT

     Now that this crypto bullrun shit's happening again I'm back to every underemployed lazy faggot under 30 trying to pump another forgettable, flavor of the hour bullshit hashtag while pretending they make a good living doing it. In reality they're below poverty levels because they always get greedy and outnumber every lucky bet with 3 unlucky ones.

     And this is supposed to be the future, a scheme where you "invent" something with a "strong community" by copypasting pajeet coincode to somehow achieve a "market cap" of anything more than five bucks. Yeah, sorry, that's gay, and you're gay for trying to pretend it's anything but retards fleecing indians, draining retards.

     At least 10 years ago I could buy car parts, milsurplus, and silver w/ bitcoin in town. Now this crap can't even do anything but get traded for other flash-depreciating faff.

It kinda makes me mad that I have to do two-factor shit and "stronger" passwords because Jerome is too stupid to not hand his banking details to a pajeet callscammer.

I get fwds of a scary "woah I got hacked and Lost EVERYTHING!!!!" tweet and when I look into it more it's just "yeah I got all those reset pass emails but like, I got a call on the phone saying that Ledger got a notice someone was hacking my account and in order to protect my cold storage I'd have to send my stash to a hot wallet link they would send me and I DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED I clicked the link they sent how did I lose it all"

     Maybe that's the charm of crypto? The fact you can't just hold anything, it always gets rugged from the undeserving

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Like anything that originates in a certain kind of way, crypto attracted hangers-on and random normies who are enthusiastic but don't really understand it, or have their own purposes. I don't really mind it, it's extra noise in the system that makes it harder to kill, and the major change from their presence and excitement is that /ourguys/ who were autistic enough to mine some back in 2010 now have some money that nobody knows about.
     
     In the end, it's a useful hedge against inflation (there are worse currency backings than the love of skilled codefags and engineers), and you can use it to buy things anonymously and fund things that've been debanked in the meantime.

     @AmericanChampion Problem is, nobody can really spend it in ways to make their life better now that normgroids are onto it. The days of being able to quietly and trustworthily exchange BTC for a house without incurring tax shit are long gone, to the point you can hardly buy small cheap stuff with it either. No matter what system you use it's going to be tracked, taxed, hang over your head forever
