How often do I have to repeat that Trump is a psychopath looking out for himself and only does us good because of the occasional alignment of interests and the nature of memetic space before people stop assuming I am defending Trump?
- Kenny Blankenship repeated this.

@Aly @judgedread He's actually very amusing, just in the buffoonish clown way, a comedian, not a happy warrior (no bravery)

@judgedread A corollary to the NPC discovery (many people lack an internal voice) is the fact that most people are restricted to bivariate thinking when evaluating individuals and cannot handle multi-variable calculation. So, for example, when you say that fat orange retard is quite intelligent and charismatic (he is) they instinctively assume that you are supporting or defending him
In the real world, high level operators and power players are forced to work with people that they personally dislike but are useful to them. So you need to dispassionately evaluate someone's strengths and weaknesses and find out where they are best suited, or sometimes even grit your teeth and work side by side with them.
Amazing that this needs to be explained.

@TrevorGoodchild @judgedread This is why I rarely will say how funny Trump is.
-
@TrevorGoodchild @Aly @judgedread Then he does stuff like this.
Can you imagine any Democrat doing this unless it was grandstanding for some family of a black criminal?
Can you even imagine DeSantis doing this?
-
@Marielle_Redclaw @Aly @judgedread Yep. And it is not an affectation. He does stuff like this because it makes him feel good
This used to be called "noblesse oblige"

@matty Lmfao it's like that, but more feminine. Talked about this yesterday, how women have trouble identifying any good qualities in someone they personally dislike. In extreme cases like Borderline Personality Disorder it's called splitting (a person is either the greatest angel to ever walk the earth or an unbelieveably evil demon, sometimes both in the same day) but I'm noticing this a lot with both younger men and women

But I did have breakfast this morning
