For the longest time they were always in the cheap, “ew who wants that?” milsurp racks around here. They’re probably $600+ now, but even 5 years ago I wanna say I was seeing them at sub-$500. Never very popular with that caliber.

Eoka Pistol (mutsu_a125@poa.st)'s status on Saturday, 11-Feb-2023 08:13:39 JST Eoka Pistol @WashedOutGundamPilot @PoalackJokes88 literally the only other gun made in it's caliber was maybe a pair of Colt Browning 1895s, can't recall anything else being made in that unless there's some custom Win 1885s but that would be it. It’s fun to imagine, but I feel - not even know, just feel - like the .30-06 gave them more room to work with to ensure reliability when they went over to machine guns.
That little potato digger was pretty dang reliable for being so early on the scene, I have to wonder if the gun powder tech would have been sufficient to grant reliability in a smaller case.
Just a guess though

But it's funny that the USA could have avoided all of the post-WWII NATO caliber wars had it kept the original 6mm. It's even funnier what they did to the British .280, but those cucks deserved it.
