     @YTFoidLover1488 EXACTLY. As a vidya hater it gets REALLY old having to listen to these guys jabber on selling me on some flavor of the week shitgame only to utterly, totally forget about it entirely for the rest of their life.

     I'm still bugged at spending a week with this douche, made a big deal about getting back to the hotel early every day just to get on whatever game he had because the daily's gotta get done!

     @DEERBLOOD @YTFoidLover1488 I just find it offensive when guys invest their time in a game unless they're going to at least get SOMETHING out of it other than the passage of time. I understand those ones where you make memories w/ friends, or end up haivng something to show for it after years. But most games just sound like a cope, it's something you do so your free time passes by in an instant and you don't have the bandwidth to actually ponder life or your circumstances

     @YTFoidLover1488 @WashedOutGundamPilot That's different. It's an Early Access game so there'll be more content down the line. Don't want to get burnt out on what is essentially a demo

I don't feel the need for my hobbies to all be productive. I have display cases of 40k minis I painted for that

     @DEERBLOOD @WashedOutGundamPilot @oort @YTFoidLover1488 Also flavor-of-the-month games are basically the zoomer equivalent of watching sitcoms and those ugly adult cartoons to better socialize with millennials. I don't really think anyone actually likes bojack horseman or bobs burgers, they just watch it so they have something in common with the pitiful dregs they hang around.

     Playing palworld or helldivers or fall guys or fortnite isn't really a thing that people seem to enjoy, it's just an excuse to hop on a discord server with the boys.

     @DEERBLOOD @WashedOutGundamPilot @oort @YTFoidLover1488 Yeah I've been piling hobbies/activities onto my schedule to avoid my roommate, and only occasionally do I have a chunk of time to do nothing. It's only then where I'll put headphones on and game to shut him out of my life.

     I know it's a cope, but if I'm lifting, making money, learning new skills AND socializing, I can afford to game a bit.
