The amount of money they just burned is insane. The amount of money they spent on garbage was less than WB pays to make full on animated movies. @ChristiJunior @Rasterman @SuperSnekFriend @bleedingphoenix If you appreciate old fight animations and are willing to completely ignore the story Vol 1-3 are watchable. The original creator was a fight animator not a story guy so there's a lot of ideas and not a lot of substance. Vol4 onward is when the new show runner takes over and starts making shit up so everything falls apart quickly.
As for graphics, I forgot what tool they used originally but they weren't making it in a professional modeling or animation package until later. Everything in the early series is ugly and it improves as the team builds up skills.

Also the showrunners that picked up after Monty died were the guys Monty chose to write the show in the first place lol -

They started to think their queer story really mattered more than what people actually cared about. -

I liked the Haloid animation growing up so I was pretty excited for RWBY, and there's something there. It's just trying to be something that it isn't.
The last volume that I watched was either when they retconned rwbys only power, silver eyes, or the genie retconned the beginning of the world for the 3rd idk which was more recent.
There's a bunch of good concepts, but they're just concepts. They weren't even built up enough to be ideas, which if the show ended on vol 3 or 4 would be fine.
Let Pyra die and be used as a catalyst to build up the characters for a season. Then have a time skip and a short final season of RWBY aged with all of the super powers vs the big bad, and her army. Let it be a stylized mostly braindead action series, and take the lessons learned to make something else. -
