     I got literally added to a school equivalent of a watchlist.

     @Robert_Edwardly I found the turner diaries at a neighbor’s garage sale as a kid, used to put it under a diff. slip cover to hide it

     Too fun of a read though. Can’t imagine how much shit would have rained if anyone noticed

     @C_J_S Most of these are worthless. I particularly hate art of war, it’s pointless for most. It’s a status thing.

     @Robert_Edwardly @C_J_S Only if they’re smart enough to extrapolate anything of use. Seems like everyone I see reading this stuff is just pulling one or two party tricks from the whole thing and gassing up their ego.

     @anonaccount @WashedOutGundamPilot At the time I was a senior in high school there was still a ton of shit in my schools library where I was like "why is this here? There is no way they actually want high schoolers reading this"

     @Robert_Edwardly @WashedOutGundamPilot You told anybody about it? I did the same with pamphlets and PDFs I got from 4chan's /nsg/ threads, I kept that off other people's eyes and ears through.

     I was a aggressively autistic teenager.

     @Robert_Edwardly @anonaccount I went to one school that let you ask for things, they had a budget for books, and one of the things they aimed for was providing quality literature for the kids who were “too smart” for the dross that filled up the shelves. So if you did that reading program and got the “brown level” you could just ask for things, if another kid did too there was a solid chance it would show up next month

     Our library had all those fun old Ambrose war memoirs from that program

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Robert_Edwardly My school actively tried to stop me from reading "chapter books" until I was in grade 3 and saddled me with more schoolwork if I finished mine and started reading to pass the time.
