   Twitter did this for a while. When they first implemented "Like", I was suspicious that it was some sort of data-grab and never used the feature. A while in, it showed me having liked a large number of posts; I thought that I'd perhaps clicked it on accident, but a lot of them were posts that predated the "Like" feature by years.

     @p Trevor is shadowbanned, so it's what you DON'T see when you're following them. Not all of their posts appear in your general feed. Gab also randomly unfollows a certain number of people from their enemies. They also remove old reacts, if I searched my own posts anything a year old would have zero reacts unless it had been a big hit, and then some percentage of them had been stripped. My pinned post, up for years, could never crack more than like 230 reacts because they would retrostrip them. However I think some of this stuff is done with proprietary code running separate and therefore they don't have to release it. For example there was a time when they would HIJACK MY ACCOUNT to like and allegedly repost (thought I never saw it in my feed) posts from fed SomeBitchIKnow.      @judgedread I have that old copy of the code where I dug up the cause of the deletions being ignored, but I forget where the repo is. It'd be interesting if someone had dug it up, what are the things you see when affected by their style of shadowbans?

     @p Yeah, but as it's code and I can't really understand it I don't have it on hand. I'd say ax Operator9 for the evidence... but his ass got banned within 24 hours of my final defenestration and far as I know he's not on fedi.

     I believe because Torba is legally bound by whatever open source license Gargron used to publish his source code the smoking gun that Gab shadowbanning is real has been unearthed.
