     @PhenomX6 @meso Well, Gleason is on the opposite faction, he doesn't like DMs and wants everyone to use chats instead. I think DMs are even hidden from public timeline in Soybox.

     @mint @meso When you get a chat message on akkoma it turns into a DM and drops on your home timeline. It's obnoxious and ew was fiddling with it because I kept bitching it about lol

     @roboneko @meso @mint Yeah so even after ew fudged with it he couldn't get them to stop going to home timeline consistently. I have my chat page working normally like pleroma but they usually still propagate to my home tl like DMs after I read them too.

     @meso @PhenomX6 Might be! They have also removed it from the list of supported frontends without even as much as mentioning it in commit description.
