command line tools are generally faster, but GUIs can make browsing helpful sometimes if you don't know exactly what you are looking for. A lot of times I'll search out package names on the internet and then drop to a shell to actually install-

In the end, I still find CLI easier and more clear. And Flatpak (or similar stuff) helps a bit. Not so much that I use it extensively, but helps.
GUI catalogs can help new users coming from Win or macOS, but my impression is that they always give a false sense of "all is fine here".
