     @gentooP i'm not sure if my jp skills actually have gotten worse, or if i just prefer talking over reading/writing now
     
     so honestly i'm probably at the same level of jp as i was as a kid with cn
     
     also found a neat video/short on how to refer to animals

     @ninja8tyu I've always thought the kanji/hanzi for "man" meant "someone who uses his strength in a paddy field" which meant farmers who were usually male

     @ninja8tyu I tried to set myself a daily schedule to slog through the dog days of summer to spend more than 5 minutes on Duolingo, I allotted 2 hours at start and end of day to work JP language, and I've been using kanji combat as a supplement.
     Some days feel like I have heatstroke and shutdown, I sleep and wake up in a sweat. I need to figure out how to fix the ventilation problem in my room.
