     @MK2boogaloo the first one was meh, not enough godzilla, the other 2 ones are good action slop ngl, shame the human characters are a drag, westerns keep missing the human part of godzilla films, the jap ones nail the human cast

     @Loki @MK2boogaloo yea, that’s the sad thing. There’s as many epic scenes as boring human stuff. :akkoTired: it’s a little hard to go back to because of that, but it’s still the second best of the new Godzilla films.

     @Loki @MK2boogaloo I forget which one it was, but one of the Japanese Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla was really good on the human stuff. The MC was the daughter of someone killed by Godzilla, she got her revenge, & then it was a real “unbending will of Man” sort of thing at the end in the final confrontation. Few times it got me rooting for the human plot line.

     @Loki @MK2boogaloo @RehnSturm256 I haven't seen one but I've heard the big difference between the western and eastern interpretations is the Japanese ones see it as a "nuke metaphor" (which was a very common theme in Japanese media) while the western Godzilla movies focus on the action movie aspect.

     @Pawlicker @MK2boogaloo @Loki nuke or “force of vengeful nature” themes. But it also depends on the era. Godzilla is seen as a gentle hero in some of them.
