     @givenup @nugger Yeah IDK why that became the norm, guess it works for the actual hunter folk who don't care about guns so much. Back in the day you'd get a wingmaster barrel standard, they didn't sell the "hi cap" 6-rd tubes normally, was seen as a weirdo prepper cop gun.

     @givenup @nugger Go scrounge up those weaver machines early. We had a shit ton of sheep for a while and it was a money sink, you can't sell unprocessed wold in a way to cover feed cost. I was pissed because one of the cousin's uppity whore wives stole "that big wooden loom thing" to use as living room deco 15 years ago, then gave it away when it "took up SOOOOO much space!"

     Would have been cool to have to at least spin it at home

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @nugger i decided i'll keep a couple dairy sheep around they make wool still there's no breed of dairy sheep that don't do wool too, SO i'll have that to do somethign with and milk ot mess with eggs, rabbit meat, and what i can grow out of the ground

     @nugger @givenup I can't remember if I floated this or if we tried it, but it was a no-go. The whole idea was for it to be something the girls did while the guys were at work, they can have work-fun and do 4H/crafts/sell whatever they get out of it, all the stuff that was non-machined required male labor-hours, and that's a resource the family has in short supply.

     We're all in the opertime zone just to pay the bills

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @nugger yea, who knows, BUT for no i wasn't even considering textiles, people were telling me you can use it for a lot of stuff besides making into textiles, like insulation.

     @givenup @nugger It's good insulation at least, but tend your fields/pens extremely well if you want to use it for bedding or clothing. I'm a cheapass in someways but I was very picky - I'm not using any wool with mud or sheep shit matted in there, no matter how much you wash it. If we're making heirlooms (we are, everything made by our hands will be treasured 150 years from now as all the mundane things we have today are) then we gotta do it right
