Cayhr (cayhr@varishangout.net)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Feb-2023 17:27:37 JST Cayhr @David You know what’s absurd? A wheelchair in a magical world could have some really interesting implications. A mage that uses a magical, floating “wheelchair” (more like a levitating throne) helps mitigate his lack of legs (which was lost due to <backstory>). However, he isn’t skilled enough to use Regeneration and hasn’t met any that could in his long life, so he has to make do. Initially he was wheeled, then he used his magical technology to allow him to float above a surface. It taxed his magical ability, but he optimized it so that it became second nature. He even puts bags on it and helps the party as a mobile chest, of sorts, because not everyone has a Bag of Holding lying around. As time goes on, he has become quite comfortable with his mobile throne, and made a name for himself, being called “The Moving Throne” by those who respect him, and “Floating Stool” by those who scorn.
…whether he reaches high enough level to use Regeneration or obtains his limbs again, we don’t know. You could spin this in another way where the same mage uses prosthetic legs, but ends up fitting them with all sorts of cool magical gadgets.
These people are just uncreative as an empty bollock.

The idea of someone needing a wheelchair with magickal healing in D&D is asinine.
- If the paralysis was caused by damage to the body: Cure Light Wounds
- If the paralysis was caused by poison: Neutralize Poison
- If the paralysis was caused by disease: Cure Disease
- If the paralysis was caused by a curse: Remove Curse
All the fucking mongoloids talking about how it would require the spell Regeneration literally never read the fucking rules on that spell. Its ONLY for severed limbs. You sever your spine, you fucking die.
All you need to do (in 1E AD&D) is find either a 1st lvl Paladin, a 3rd lvl Druid or a 5th lvl Cleric. None of these would be ultra-hard to locate, even if they only represent anywhere from 1-2% of a given populace anywhere bigger than Thorp. -
Totally not suspicious Minty (minty@varishangout.net)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Feb-2023 17:27:44 JST Totally not suspicious Minty @LoliHat yeah okay hold up maybe the fantasy wheel chair thing could come in handy here. Just dump them out of the chair and then run while the bunny feasts. Don't have to be the fastest just have to not be the slowest :SayoriFingerguns: -
supersid (supersid333@varishangout.net)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Feb-2023 17:27:44 JST supersid @Minty @LoliHat Thinking about how that combat wheel chair rolls over into your Druid wild shape forms as well. Not even magic can allow you to escape your crippling, how the gods must hate the disabled. -
