     One guy I know claimed the other issue is the staff at anime studios aren't the same anymore.
     
     Also; the issue is worse in the west with being cheap. That's why every cartoon now if it's not CGI is tweened toonboom or flash shit. Even the ones people obsessed over like MLP had a mediocre art style.

     Then again even in the "good days" there were infamous issues with made for TV animation having either reused animations or outsourcing, from Toei producing Transformers (the movie and some of the series) to Koreans doing the Simpsons and not really agreeing with the sweatshop couch gag.

     a growing trend in art as a form of entertianment to generate sales rather artistry.
     
     Its quite sad to be frank, really good stuff gets ignored or overlooked because it isnt like the current thing or trend.

     this is literally why I want to get into gamedev or art because quite frankly I'm sick of how there's nothing good anymore and I have autistic interests and I need to share them with the world.

     I wish more people did this and I'm seeing it more from fedi users than those who choose to remain in the Twitter cattle farm. Every time I take a peek they're malding about JK Rowling or some other bullshit instead of making anything, likely because they lack a creative bone in their body.

     The pathway for most internet artists seems to be get really talented, make a Patreon or some shit, stagnate or take long ass breaks, decline, burn out online after some dumbass drama with your ex or fade into obscurity instead of making a game in some "so easy a kid can do it" engine/framework.
