Tonight's tea of choice is a Puerh, woody but not too bad and just generally solid for a hot drink. No idea what kind this is beyond the general type tbh, I cant read the label... tasty though.

  @SpurgAnon @Tamamo @luithe I tried the earl gray…but I ruined it by adding too much sugar :blobcatnervous2: i need to learn to accept the new flavors I’m unaccustomed to. :WatameNod: It tasted like the go-to “coffee” of teas. Notable was that it refreshed me, in a different way than coffee. I kinda liked that feeling! I’m looking forward to maybe more herby or fruity(?) flavors. :blobcatbongo:
  Puerh sounds interesting! It definitely looks woody in images online. I wonder if the fermentation process typically associated with it has probiotic effects :Thinkeyes: I’d like that.

  @luithe @RehnSturm256 @Tamamo pouch is disgusting, honestly once im done burning up my older stuff Im going leaf only. The minced powdering ruins the taste 100% and sometimes the pouches do too.

  Try seasoning it next time maybe? A little salt will cut the bitter.

  @RehnSturm256 @SpurgAnon @luithe Earl-Grey is more a bri'ish thing. Green tea could be more considered the goto "coffee" of tea for its refreshing properties.
  
  You bought Sensha right? Thats Japanese green tea. Remember to use water no hotter than 80° Celsius. If you use boiling water for green tea it will turn bitter.

  @luithe @SpurgAnon @RehnSturm256 Honestly all you need is a tea filter for the loose tea and a tea pot to hang the filter in. I'd invest in an insulated teapot. Well worth the extra money imo.

  Loose tea is great.
  I just throw mine in the teapot tho and filter the whole thing through a little sieve when it's done.

  @luithe @RehnSturm256 @SpurgAnon I forgot: An electric kettle with some form of temperature control for green tea's. They for around 30~40 bucks. Be sure to get one made from stainless steel or glass on the inside.

  Water should be not hotter than 80°C. Or 176.00° in amerimut units.

  @Tamamo @RehnSturm256 @SpurgAnon @luithe I recommend a temp controlled water dispenser which heats on demand and can output quantities suitable to your containers (example 2/5dl cup, 1l pot). Easiest method for very frequent consumption.
