@veff @givenup @d0c40r0 @DEERBLOOD I didn't really take it seriously when they set us up, it was just "dave's got this cute desk girl who's really shy, I've talked you up so you should go and talk to her" on my dad's part
Then when I went her coworkers (our friends) helped give that added push of "don't worry he's safe, you should go out on a real date for once!"
I would just hit on the theme of liking unemployed homebody girls, talk them up when you see stuff that reminds you of your exes, or girls you date. Bring up how gross it is when a lady brags about her job, if they commiserate with you ask "got any girls that would make a fine stay at home wife? I'm taking applications". You're selling yourself to her dad/uncle/grandpa/etc, you just have to seem like you're sufficiently trustworthy and professional. They don't WANT these girls in their homes forever
