This is unfortunate because from the way I expected I was a little excited to see girls channeling waifus in order to sucker in the boys. That would be the easiest way to really get some easily farmed attention - make a style that's distinctly NOT cosplay but close enough that the guy's imprinted attraction from his early childhood is transferred to you.
Like seeing a girl in a camo poncho that reminds you of princess leia in those tight pants

@givenup @d0c40r0 @DEERBLOOD The norm I'm seeing now is permanent delays. Boys are getting their first true lovey dovey GF at 25/26, girls are getting theirs at 20-22 (to that same bracket of guy, oddly enough)

@givenup The one thing I've picked up is maybe making it a bit oversized. We had some superb, hand-made things in the fam but they barely fit the boys now. The 30's really had boniness as the norm. A fighting fit 6'2 boy ain't fitting into a medium deerskin jacket with a 28" waist

Speaking from personal experience, I've got a few siblings who were in this age bracket years back and never played the game, peaked, and now are even less desirable to the opposite sex, so it has me worried about whether I should just get with someone now rather than get left single later in life.
I could get a gf pretty quickly if I really pushed myself to get out there, but i dont really want the girls im surrounded by. literally feels better to be single than share a life with them tbh

When she was living with me a few months in, she thought it was funny that suddenly it's totally cool for her to be a NEET because she's in my house instead of her parents'. She went from being the bum of the family to "why can't you settle down like your sister?"

I got some GenX dads I work with who I assume have daughters, but they respectfully don't bring them up to coworkers, and I'm not sure "hey can I wife up your girlfailure" has a good segway. When it does come up, do you just set up a date to meet her or what?

@veff @givenup @d0c40r0 @DEERBLOOD I didn't really take it seriously when they set us up, it was just "dave's got this cute desk girl who's really shy, I've talked you up so you should go and talk to her" on my dad's part
Then when I went her coworkers (our friends) helped give that added push of "don't worry he's safe, you should go out on a real date for once!"
I would just hit on the theme of liking unemployed homebody girls, talk them up when you see stuff that reminds you of your exes, or girls you date. Bring up how gross it is when a lady brags about her job, if they commiserate with you ask "got any girls that would make a fine stay at home wife? I'm taking applications". You're selling yourself to her dad/uncle/grandpa/etc, you just have to seem like you're sufficiently trustworthy and professional. They don't WANT these girls in their homes forever
