     Word around the cooler is that SWA had something like 1,500 pilots leave last year, they all bailed on the company because it pretty much sucks ass compared to everyone else. The boomer guys I talk to that still love it can't notice that their good ol' boy texas founder left decades ago, and "great company culture" just meant an open door to freaks, fags, & troons

     @Paultron @Hoss @adiz Midway is an okay base from what I hear. Pilot "party" basically means a good hotel and some good eating within walking distance. Nobody actually parties on the road unless they're chemically enhanced, hard to keep up w/ the lifestyle

     kind of a shame, i've heard many stories about the neighborhood from its italian-polish working class days, but it's just another favela now. honestly unless someone is specifically maining Southwest i'd say just go to o'hare now, it's not any worse

     @Hoss @adiz I heard the black association of pilots sent out a mass "diversity is GOOD and HELPS everything!!!" letter, signed by women, mexis, gays, asians, etc.

     Nobody knows what they're talking about, they just have this meandering go-nowhere lecture about how people "doubt the credentials of our minority coworkers" and that's a wrong, terrible bit of "misinformation"
