Sousou no Frieren - 22:
-
@irie @hfaust Okay
-
@irie @hfaust A guy wrote it, a woman drew the art
-
@Arkana @hfaust To avoid misunderstandings. The issue is not whether a real biological woman wrote it or not (some of my favorite works were written by women). The issue is the philistine pretension (so typical of women-writers) that if scratched reveals a nihilist liberalism, which is again typical of women writers. It can convey the blackest poison full of Jewish death "but it looks nice/it's the right thing to do" mentality.

@hfaust I abhor the writing of sousou so much so I'd strangulate the woman who wrote it but the world building is one of its strengths, I agree on that.

Sometimes less is more and with Dungeon Meshi and Frieren demonstrate that. They have a simple fantasy setting that really take their time to explore the world, characters and all the minor details that sometimes get overshadowed by THE BIG BAD THING looming over or something like that.
I understand that this can be seen as tedious by some people, but if their brain has been corrupted by dopamine overdose that they cannot longer pay attention to these kind of stories, we should pity them.

This skit was like something out of Monty Python, I love it.
