   Good God. He wants $7 trillion to build an AI-driven biz. That is more than Microsoft & Google (throw in their Apple, too) market cap. What does this tell us? It is just not sustainable. It has a high cost. The craziness of replacing human labor with machines is priceless, tho. I now ask if this AI buzz can cure cancer and other critical illnesses. Can this free everyone to do art or travel and provide free housing and healthcare via UBI? This is pure madness.

     You would have to be foolish to give him $7 trillion. This amount is higher than the total GDP of any country except for the US or China. No private individual or investor has access to such a vast amount of money in reality or even on pape

     @nixCraft fiat money is infinite, and is only for the dynamic float over a much, much larger asset value base.

     It's a phenomenal sum but a $7T investment isn't impossible.

     It's a fucking terrible investment idea and would be a complete waste of the real resources that $7T can bring. The real resources need to go into important things that improve the world, like climate change mitigation and a pile of social spending.

     @johnefrancis I agree. They will construct massive data centers with that amount of money, further heating up the planet. Instead, consider giving the funds to NASA (or other scienctiest) to establish a colony on the Moon or, as you said, fix climate change. There are better ways to utilize such a huge amount of money instead of just investing it in the development of AI.

     @nixCraft All what these generating algorithms able to produce and used for are scams (e. g. fake robocalls, automated spam generation), political disinformation articles, imagery and video and revenge porn media "content" at industry scale.

     @nixCraft The "AI" crap is some scam where sequence of matrices math done on irrelevant hardware (impulse-driven machinery with separated memory and computational units) shown as The Artificial Intelligence, as God blessing, and as cure for literally anything, meanwhile we will end up the largest pile of useless e-waste in history.

     @nixCraft I don't think the technology is the problem. It is the economic system we are mired in. Capitalism can't work in a society where almost everything is manufactured by automated systems that cost almost nothing to own and operate (future). If you aren't paying machines a wage, and if the resources continue to get cheaper until many are almost free (look at music, TV and movies today), then how does capitalism actually function anymore?

     It's as if he wakes up in the morning seeking attention like a teenager, but with AI hype. At first, he claimed that AI frightened him, but later he called for governments to grant OpenAI exclusive rights. Then he caused a stir by getting fired from OpenAI & announced joining Microsoft. And now, he's asking for a whopping $7 trillion. It's quite amusing, to be honest! Netflix/HBO, are you watching this drama?

     @nixCraft I seek $9 billion in funding. I'll call investors in, make them feel good that their investments will start growing "any day now".

     The product is simple, it's making money. we're literally going to make money. it's such a simple concept, but has anyone ever even tried it?

     The business will be driven by the greatest minds around cloudbased AI managed crypto portfolios. in short, anyone who invests now will make money, if you don't then I can't promise you will get in on the action.
