   @gabriel stories like these and the presence I feel in my own life relating to them are why I've stopped caring much about specific ideology and tried to orient myself around more basic things like "I want to be able to have a community of people like me", "I want to see my family grow and prosper", and "I want to work and contribute something meaningful with my work".
   
   When you start dealing with more direct propositions like these, suddenly a lot of walls get broken down and it's easier to identify the people who don't want you to have or don't care if you get any of those things.
   
   It's a gradual process so sometimes I still get wrapped up in ideology or the political rat race but I think I'm improving
