No one ever talks about the existential dread of waking up and not having work.
- cool_boy_mew likes this.
-
@Hyperhidrosis it's a special dread that only the select few chosen NEETs gets to experience
I did, the pressure is massive knowing that everything could suddenly come crashing
-
@coolboymew It's worse when you feel absolutely useless. All your peers have important jobs and you're just doing school like some child.
-
Bro those jobs are bs lmao nobody is doing anything important. I felt useless back then and I still do.
Go hard on your hobbies and do the bare minimum at work to stay employed.
-
@thegreatape @Hyperhidrosis mommy and daddy still, what do you think?
The American "Throw your child out at 18" is extremely cucked and basically make sure the kid is going to never attain any sort of wealth whatsoever
-
@coolboymew @Hyperhidrosis How do neets do it? Like don't they need money to live? How the hell is anyone actually a NEET after 21?
-
@thegreatape @coolboymew I could be a NEET if I wanted to. My family would enable that lifestyle.
-
@MMS21 @coolboymew I don't have hobbies anymore :akkoCry: I had to trade them in for a 3.7 GPA
-
@coolboymew @Hyperhidrosis @thegreatape this was fine until boomers destroyed housing.
-
@Hyperhidrosis @coolboymew Oh yeah I forgot people have supportive families lol. My family would have thrown my ass out if I was really pissing around on my computer instead of having a job / being in school by the time I turned 21
-
@thegreatape @Hyperhidrosis I know I neeted for about a year not knowing what to do after not able to get into my chosen field in college because of stupid HS advanced math requirement that was impossible to do in college (the course was made for those who barely failed it, otherwise it was an entire HS course year in half a year and urrgh) which I eventually went to get a "technique" instead
Later after returning to college I got fucked by my internship and neeted for a year because of the dreaded "entry level - 3 years experience" shit. Couldn't get any min wage jobs either because they were all scared I'd screw off
Great job economy we've got here

@thegreatape @coolboymew @Hyperhidrosis I’ve been a NEET or semi-NEET in little stretches in my life, like 6 months here or there. Combination of low cost of living, savings, and some living with parents. Plus there’s many forms of gibs these days.
-
@thegreatape @coolboymew Being a NEET sucks
that's basically what all my summer vacations boiled down to.
-
@Hyperhidrosis @thegreatape it's great when your anxiety doesn't take over
-
@Hyperhidrosis @coolboymew When I was a kid I was basically a neet. I coasted by barely trying in school. Which actually worked out for me because of horribly low standards in my school district. I was seen as a smart student and I didn't even bother studying. I was just posting on 4chan and jackin off and playing games.
Go figure that woefully unprepared me for the world. As soon as I went to a new school I was like "wtf school is harder in other states?" and I had to start finally cracking down. Nowadays I romanticize the idea of being a NEET but I realize I can't live like that until I'm rich or retired. Fuck this gay earth.
-
@thegreatape @Hyperhidrosis that's not being a neet tho'
You really think most people here didn't also do the same at school lol? This continued in college and I have no fucking clue how I managed to pass anything lmao
-
@coolboymew @Hyperhidrosis yeah it wasn't being a neet. That was as close as I ever got though :sadcat: I just want to go back man.
-
@coolboymew @thegreatape Nah it gets very boring imo
-
@Hyperhidrosis @thegreatape You just have to watch 600-700 eps of One Piece like I did
-
@coolboymew @thegreatape I did that too up to 900
got boring after that
brain felt gloopy could feel my brain and muscles melting.
-
@MMS21 @coolboymew @thegreatape real
-
Compulsory military training would have fixed me.
-
@coolboymew @Hyperhidrosis @thegreatape NEET thread
zero actual NEETs
disgusting
