     The funny thing is I wasn’t replaying old relationship in my mind when I came to this conclusion. It is, however, the Occam’s Razor answer because my entire career was built while married to her. And it’s the kind of thing narcissists do. The fact I don’t remember specific instances of it is most likely my mind compartmentalizing things.

     @CSB the funny part is the reactions came while expressing gratitude for my day job. I had no idea what they were about until I really sat and thought about it…something I have a lot of time to do on a long-ass flight.

     Why did my ex shame me so much for the very thing that allowed her to live the lifestyle she wanted? Oh, wait, she’s a narcissist…a covert one at that.

     Took me far too long to realize she was doing it…and that I was still holding onto it for no reason.
