G is also another example of child safety as it's harder for a dumb kid to take a coin or fork or something and connect the two hot poles without touching ground.

Ooooohhhhhhhhhh..... I thought it was because they hated converter warts and want them all to fall out of the receptacles all the time.
When I was a kid my older brother told me if I jammed tweezers into the outlet it would make a Lazer. Well, it made a lightshow for sure, and the tweezers turned awesome colors, but my mom made me spend my allowance on new tweezers that weren't half as cool.
