     So I popular mainstream controller that like would probably have been "solved" by now?

     The 360 controller's 2.5mm cable was recognized by Windows as an audio device when there were headphones plugged in.
     There's no reason that the one/series should be too different in that regard.

     I can tell what direction I'm pressing in Sonic 3 with that Vader Dpad.
     Feels like the Mega Drive directional shield IMO

     when i plug a DS4 onto my linux system i just have new Audio output and input device for it

     @coolboymew @Lbabinz i'm guessing that they use some non-standard protocol for bluetooth audio, i mean neither HSP (mono, two-directional, used for bluetooth headsets) nor A2DP (stereo, one-directional, used for music) fits the bill.
