      The prequels had a lot of good things about them. They're not as good as the OT, but they're very much worthwhile, unlike Disney dreck.

      Shut up nerd, none of those things are half as bad as the Empire getting rekt by literal Teddy Bear Injuns. Meanwhile, Episode I boasted the best lightsaber battle in all of Star Wars, a good starting point for Anakin's journey, Palpatine being a brilliant mastermind, a compelling tragic hero in Qui-Gon, and villains that were blatantly racist caricatures.

      @ArdainianRight @DrRyanSkelton original trilogy is shitty boomer fantasy of WW2 with timeless special effects, prequel trilogy is Lucas trying to show the scary rise of fascism but being so bad at it that he accidentally makes the fascists totally justified (minus the unoptical baby killing) and incredibly cool, and the Disney trilogy…is kind of air. I never saw the last one but I remember just as much about the first one which I did see: not a damn thing. last Jedi is the only one I can remember anything about and it’s nothing good.

      @ChristiJunior @DrRyanSkelton @jimmybuffettfanaccount The critique of the romance between Padme and Anakin being dry and awkward also falls flat on the context that he's a Warrior monk and she's a career politician who're both dissatisfied with the institutions they represent. They found common ground on that and their childhood experience as well. Plus Anakin is the obvious bad boy maverick in his order which would justify Padme's interest and Padma would be the closest thing to a mother figure Anakin has left which justifies his interest.
