honestly, only two reasons they don't show that is because censorship such as "we can't show the protagonist/character killing" or "this will encourage crazy people to kill" a la Joker (2019), or people are just that retarded/pussies

@weissrespecter @TopBep I always wondered why so many writers half-ass the whole revenge bad thing. It's one thing for a character to want to be a better person and not seeking revenge at all, doing their own thing to be better.
Rather, every time I see a story that says revenge is bad, it's always "I'm only gonna be a better person as of this moment and not kill you" right above the guy. It's like these writers don't fully comprehend the character they wrote.
