During the peak of Twitter insanity there were "block chain" scripts to pre block anyone who liked a specific tweet which is one reason shitlibs have no interaction outside their plantation if any.
   
   That killed off a lot of old school trolling of that style and so a lot of modern methods are centered around making people say something they'd regret (like making liberal politicians say to ban burning coal), sneaking in words before they can smash the block button, and of course classic raids (called dogpiling and brigading by people of soy).

     @NEETzsche @MercurialBlack @RustyCrab @meso the other thing is that the kind of thing you mentioned in OP is literally what griefers used to do, and then frank hassle did the same in his videos too along with surveillance camera man.
     
     After his videos got big, in part due to his association with Sam Hyde and the rise of IRL streamers as well, that behavior has really gotten huge.

     @PhenomX6 @meso @NEETzsche @MercurialBlack you know what really grinds my gears though? Random blocks from THIS SIDE of the fediverse. Almost once per day I get blocked by somebody at noagendasocial, and absolutely never from accounts that I've interacted with.
     
     Who is joining that place, going to known network and saying "is that a CRAB!? I HATE CRABS" *BLOCK*
