   @shibao @Moon i used to teach scheme as a first language in a compsci introductory course, people who hadn't programmed before did very well (the goal after a semester was to write a frogger clone and everyone made it), the ones who had programmed C before struggled.

     @Moon@shitposter.club i don't get this, what makes immutable data structures inherently impossible compared to mutable ones
     if anything, getting people to think about state more often would be great, what is your application state, what is your process state, what is your thread state, state of the closure, etc etc whatever idk
