I think the problem is that with men's rough edges they're almost all thing's that can be improved and measured. You can work out, eat better, make more money, stop watching weird fetish porn, go to church etc. With Women they're things that can't really be improved nor do they want them improved if they could. You can't lower your body count. Women don't just unbrainwash themselves (for normal men that is). Their nature is lustful and slothful self indulgent in part due to society rewarding that. I would easily forgive a woman for cooming to hentai everyday if she was a virgin and wanted to be better. Almost all of my functional married friends met their spouses in high school or shortly thereafter. The ones that met their husbands or wives in their late 20s are mostly dysfunctional and have/will either divorce or sterilize themselves.
You have to get to her before shlomo does and you have to be more attractive than shlomos lies. Looking back that’s why I busted through her weird asocial shell. From the get-go I was playfully going through it like “okay now I’m too old for you (she was 21) but on a real date you’re gonna want to….” or “see? now that was good. The little bounce you did right there? It’s adorable, definitely do that with the next guy”
We had a good time and she wanted to go out again, then again, and before you knew it we just kinda fell into things. I certainly didn’t think it was a viable pairing, but that’s a whole other thing.

@sparky @RupertvonRipp @PvtProperty @Robert_Edwardly @fishsticks The age spread is fairly wide, but the way she talks about it seems like there’s hardly common ground with a guy her age anyways. There’s no common culture between them anymore.
It would’ve been ideal to meet her without our age gap, but I wouldn’t have been as mature as I am now. Had to learn some painful lessons and get humbled by life to create the life she enjoys now. It still kind of grosses me out a little bit. But I get where she’s coming from. The more I see of 23 yo guys the more I understand her attitude towards them.
Her ‘friends’ from school are all wayward, and most of the ones we know that got married from 19-24 all got divorced anyways (I noted that once summer I attended 7 weddings and only 1 was still together 5 years later). Maybe we’re just clutching each other for safety, looking at the hell-vortex that surrounds us because it’s equally bleak on both sides.
She really wants a guy to just create a life and a home for her without being a…whatever you call the standard-issue package of problems boys have today. (Wants “equal partner” instead of a wife, expects a multifunction therapist-mommy-porno actress all in one) And I want a woman I can just love and dote on to build a family with. Who knows, maybe we’ll be broken up in a year, if nothing else she’ll be set.

It’s easy to be a happy couple when you’ve got a free ride and live in stress-free comfort (even though she invariably somehow magically finds things to stress about) and another thing entirely when you’re (hypothetically) moving to Peru to live in a shanty town next to a mining site for 3 years.

The flying component of my job is sadly not as big as they’d promised. Other people with more experience and seniority get to do those while I get stuck with the shit.

From a population genetics standpoint, you're putting ≈½ your genes into the world for every child you have, regardless of whether you're 'colonizing' or making more White children. If the other half is of good genetic stock, it's only a few generations until the level would be near undetectable. I'm somewhat detached from this because I'm already at above replacement level, so perhaps I'm being too analytical and materialist in my perspective. -
