     @sickburnbro I don't think it's happening too much, but the old guys, reservists, NG guys I have contact with seem to expect deployment for the whole thing all over again. THey're patting the kids on the back telling them "ha, sucks for you, but at least your second wife will be younger and prettier when you come back!"

     @professionalbigot69 @sickburnbro ...........does it matter? I almost think they won't really consider it, because the issue is buried in the command structure. At the top they'll order it, and then the active duty guys will be understaffed, so they'll activate the guard component and drag those poor bastards out, too.

     That's why I like that "defend the guard" act

     @professionalbigot69 @sickburnbro Who knows? WE know they probably don't have what they need to go from the coast with actual boots saturating the terrain for 150 miles inland from the beach.

     But they probably don't. Incentives, paper pushing, bullshit reporting all adds up to create a very inaccurate picture of their strength to the guys running the show back home. They get papers reporting a wing having 75% mission readiness, but the guys making the reports massaged the numbers to conceal the true readiness of 48% because they don't want to be punished.

     Extrapolate all that out and I can totally see them planning some campaign thinking they can do a breezy in-out march from the sea to th eborders, destroy the houthi's command structure, and "be done in less than 2 years"

     Just listen to what the flag officers say in everything else....it's not that crazy to think they're truly THAT retarded
