   So I’ve been told privately to “stop lecturing people on ethics” for asking if a certain new “cooperative” initiative will limit membership based on business models (specifically whether it would disallow what you might call adtech, surveillance capitalism, or – my favourite – people farming.

   Platform cooperatives have great potential but only if they can move beyond merely transferring power from a tiny number of kings to a slightly larger number of barons.
