@Boomerman Women and nonWhites are treated like royalty in the military. If you're a White guy you're expected to carry their weight for them and have no recourse when they fuck you over, plus there's the eternal risk of abuse jacketing and having your career destroyed at the drop of a hat
@mmmfeet@Boomerman I’m having this problem right now. Things been getting spicy because I pointed out the difference in standards when an old guy started lecturing me about ‘doing the right thing’ and ‘going above and beyond to help out the company’
I kinda broke the facade for a minute and asked why I’m the only one that’s held to that standard, but none of the others (women, pox)
@WashedOutGundamPilot@Boomerman What did he say in response? Every supermarket I ever worked at it was all young White guys carrying the load for everyone else and that was 15 years ago
@mmmfeet@Boomerman Stammered and doubled down with this passive voice about how “even when it’s tough it’s good to be thorough…..”
Haven’t seen since. Hasn’t shown up to any of the same meetings I have either, and he tattled to the boss about the interaction. It doesn’t bug me much, I’m much more valuable than he is, it just bugs me. Not a fan of working for free and doing the breadth of the last guy’s job description without the same pay and benefits he got
@RupertvonRipp@mmmfeet@Boomerman I just really take issue with hearing about how so many predecessors at every job I’ve ever had somehow miraculously had a home and family with benefits but “we don’t really have those anymore”
We need more people just snapping managers out of it and saying “hey, you pay me less than the last dude? I’m doing less than the last dude.
@WashedOutGundamPilot@mmmfeet Had an NCO tell me one time i was lazy and not doing enough work. I flipped my shit and started yelling for them to pull up the work order logs. I had 1200 completed work orders. The most in my shop. Next closest was 900 completed. The whamen and retard we had in our shop only had about 300. Then the mother fucker had the gaul to tell me its a good EPR bullet and i should be proud. Have you ever felt your blood pressure noticeably increase?
We all ended up getting credit on our EPRs for the work the SHOP completed so the lazy cunt who sat around doing online classes got full credit for work i did.
@Boomerman@mmmfeet That’s my situation right now. Everyone older gets to do the fun, easy, cushy ferry jobs and skip out on all the paperwork. I’ve thankfully, blessedly prevented myself from becoming a point of contact for clients but damn, it’s hard keeping up my guard.
