@duke @AmericanChampion @PorkCow Met a cute girl who was a cashier at a bookstore and she had a boy haircut, boy clothes, with a LOTR sleeve tattoo but she was really bubbly and excited to talk about books she liked. I thought "If I wasnt married I could save her."
Dudes don't have enough confidence in their own power

@monsterislandcolonizer
ugh man yeah tomboy GF with cool LOTR tattoo just sounds like the absolute WORST lol

@duke @PorkCow I mean, shades of grey, sure, but that argument can be good faith or bad faith depending on who you're talking about. I still remember some fat guy on twitter writing a substack post demanding everyone shack up with fat single mothers, and then calling on his eceleb friends to defend him when every anon (rightly) told him to go fuck himself.
Ultimately, every man should categorically refuse to accept a woman who is fat or ran through. If that's not a standard you can plausibly ask for from the world, then improve yourself physically, culturally, and financially until it is. A qtpi virgin 10/10 is out-of-range for all but the absolute best, sure, and I agree if you're going after some delusional neckbeard who thinks he'll get one by sitting around and waiting, but in general men have also declined to the point where there is relatively little competition for a woman that it isn't embarrassing to be with. No man should tolerate a fatty with a "complicated" past.

My whole response there was that I resent the idea that some negative extreme like that is what I was defending in the first place; I've never seen anyone do so. I DID however see a guy earlier talk about immediately judging a woman unworthy simply because he didn't like her haircut. I don't feel the need to litigate this repeatedly but I really don't understand why someone's first response to "nobody's perfect and you're going to have to accept that fact" would be "stop tel ling me to marry a fat slut", because that's OBVIOUSLY not what I'm getting at.
We're all here on fedi for a reason, man. Am I out of my mind to expect people to extend at least a little grace to one another?

@PorkCow
oh, you know. I just saw the 15th thread of the day full of guys lamenting that the entirely theoretical perfect woman they invented probably doesn't exist and that if you ever want to not be alone you're going to have to accept that both you and anyone you're ever going to meet are deeply imperfect creatures with a lot to work on
if people want to pretend that there aren't a million shades of grey here, humans are messy and the world is fucked, that's on them, but I hate seeing guys I genuinely like CHOOSE misery because literally nothing IRL is ever going to be perfect or ideal
-
@duke What were you responding to, then?
-
@duke I am not dying of herpes so my mulatto kids can get (((cybernetically enhanced))) in the replicant wars of 2035.
-
@PorkCow definitely exactly what I was advocating for yeah, great good-faith post, thanks
