   @meso @Pawlicker @RustyCrab @Zergling_man i thought he didnt get the "what if you didnt eat breakfast yesterday" of putting oneself in others' shoe thing due to high functioning autism but i guess thats also a possibility. either way it just really sounds obnoxious for someone who has explored all possibilities of their software lifestyle and privacy.

     @diazepam @meso @Pawlicker @Zergling_man I'm of the position that some proprietary stuff is either impossible or impractical to replace and you just need to understand how to mitigate risk from it.
     
     All foss advocates do this whether they know it or not. To my knowledge there are no real consumer systems that don't run proprietary blobs in firmware.

     @RustyCrab @Pawlicker @Zergling_man @meso the biggest problem is their ISP running proprietary software to route their traffic. what are they going to do. shoot up Comcast and seize their logs? i know being extreme sounds like a 'trve bvsed&redpvlled gvntooman gigachvd' but the world doesn't operate on Stallman's foot cheese sadly.
