     There are always elites, but they are created by the masses.
     
     The big point is that any group of humans, if set together in a committee or democracy, will avoid hard issues and focus on unrealistic stuff.
     
     Eventually they drift into oblivion.
     
     This is one of the reasons why it is essential to suppress tardism.
