   My doctors..
   This can't even get to speak to a receptionist to make an appointment.
   But they're happy to. Spend money constantly texting to jab me. 😭

     @meso @creamqueen @Mummabear @Zennblack @raintrees I think people get sick during the winter because they all gather together inside with the doors and windows closed. Their sneezes and coughs and farts just hang in the air when they keep it closed-up like that.
     
     My grandma used to take "air baths" in the winter. We'd all put on coats and sweaters and she'd turn off the heater and open all the doors and windows for a half-hour or so, then close everything back up and put the heater on. My mom used to think my grandma was crazy and that she'd catch pneumonia, but now I think my grandma was right.
     
     I also replace the heater filter after everyone has been sick. I think heater and air conditioner filters can cause a lot of problems; more likely allergies, but potentially viruses and bacteria too, so there's that.

     @Grandtheftautism @creamqueen @Mummabear @Zennblack @raintrees i keep getting the same symptoms over and over again and i even vomit when im sick from it, even though it's an upper respiratory tract infection (it's generally a sore throat and fever, and runny nose)

I wonder why I'm constantly sick, why is it during the cold. science does not know enough about diseases, you can look up something and there'd just be no answer for why that happens. why do you get strep throat repeatedly even though your organism is supposed to build up immunity against it? they don't answer you. you could be entirely right, that guy is a faggot for shooting down that hypothesis, probably only in medicine/science for the money.

     @Mummabear @Zennblack @raintrees I got the flu right now. No flu jabs for me though. For one thing, I already have it, so I'll have immunity until next year, and for another, the medical community has so discredited themselves regarding vaccines, I no longer trust them to not sneak something a little extra in there.
     
     I used to get flu jabs, but I still would get the flu, so I tasked the doctor I had at the time about it. Strike one is he huffed irritable and rolled his eyes at the question, and that's a bad start; doctors should be willing to entertain any question, no matter how stupid, with compassion and good humor.
     
     Then, he told me that the flu shot doesn't PREVENT the flu, it just tunes up your immune system so it's more prepared to fight it, and you're less likely to be hospitalized, and you'll be sick for a shorter time. The flu shot lowers the amount of time you'll be sick from 7 days to 3 days, he said. I had him now.
     
     So I said, "Well, maybe I should take Emergen-C or Airborne instead," and he reared back like I'd suggested sacrificing his youngest daughter to Ba'al.
     "Emergen-C and Airborne don't work, they're snake oil," he said scathingly (strike two). I smiled sweetly.
     "But doctor, they also say they'll lower the amount of time you're sick with a cold or flu from 7 days to 3 days. And they're also approved by the FDA, like the flu shot." He turned purple as he scrabbled for a response. Finally he gave up.
     "Look, I've given my recommendation, and you can follow it, or don't, there's nothing more to be said at this point," he said irritably (strike three). I smiled again, passed on the flu shot, and never went to that doctor again.
     
     It's my understanding that if you have more than the most basic understanding of modern medicine and your own personal condition, doctors are not at all prepared to deal with you. Knowledge is indeed power.

     @Grandtheftautism @Mummabear @Zennblack @raintrees one year in high school, around the age of 15,I got strep throat like 8 times, one of the times I asked my doctor 'what if what we know about the spread of the bacteria isn't true, what if there is some kind of 3rd factor such as the bacteria reacting with another bacteria and causing the infection' and they laughed it off like I didn't know what I was talking about

     @Mummabear I am reading "What Really Makes You Ill" by Dawn Lester and David Parker, if my wife's doc asks me again about any kind of jab (including the multiples boosters), I expect to respond with "why would I want to introduce toxins into my healthy body? What is the good of that, since they have never been proven to work and have instead been proven to harm? Are you purposely trying to harm people? I thought you lot adhered to the Hippocratic Oath?"

     @meso @Mummabear @Zennblack @creamqueen @raintrees definitely change your heater filter and try grandma's old-fashioned air bath a couple times a week. Have you considered allergies? Try some generic zyrtec and see if it helps. If it doesn't seem to help much, it's not allergies.
