     @momus Fun fact, a Great Red Comet was seen in the sky late 1618, corresponding with the outbreak of the Thirty Years War in Germany and there was another Great Comet in 1811 at the height of the Napoleonic wars, just before Napoleon's fall in Russia and Germany.
     
     In 44BC, just after Caesar's assassination there was also a seven day burst of Comets in the sky.

     @Billy_Hughes @momus The Great Comet of 371 BC was observed by Aristotle, student of Plato and tutor to Alexander the Great.
