Just throw the bad product away. I get it, I don't like losing money either but any loss is met with such furious indignation that you'd rather risk your reputation and lose more in the long run.

The best part? This was a mid size corp. Their customers were international and ditched some Chinese made shit to come to us in hopes of higher quality product.
