     @NEETzsche @charlie_root @Deplorable_Degenerate I hate sales people to be honest with you, they know nothing about tech. If it was healthcare they'd go to a bone doctor for a heart problem and say - you do medical, figure it out.

     You know they don’t have an answer to that that’s worth taking even a little bit seriously. The work is hard and the pay isn’t just shit, it’s so shit you can’t come up with rent. So why bother?

     That is exactly why I left my most recent job. I told them stop doing this crap and they said no, so I said ok bye.
     
     My dad was good at sales but his advice was it's easy when you have a good product. What these people are doing is selling a bad product.

Sales will tell me I promised the clients ABC and I think, ok cool, that's not my problem because what I agreed to do here when you hired me was XYZ. So get someone else to do it unless you want to give me a raise to expand my job scope to include this new stuff I didn't agree to originally.

     HR is definitely the worst, but sales isn't far behind. Bullshitters and hucksters instinctively annoy me, I didn't like Trump from the get go.
     
     I can appreciate honest salesmen but those are rare. It almost completely goes flying in the face of their trade. They have to write checks the rest of their company can't cash and get us to work 70 hours a week to try.

     I’m not so misanthropic. Hate is too strong of a word. But I do get frustrated, irritated even, sometimes. Sales is a position where you earn your keep by dealing with a lot of stress hormones. It does take a degree of real talent and grit to convince people to part with their hard-earned money for whatever bullshit you’re shilling, after all.

     The only segment of modern corporate America I can say I consistently hate is HR. It’s the most Luciferian, in specifically a Mormon sense, segment out there. They’re worse than managers, who by and large just want you to serve your function so they can appease their executives.

     I worked a manufacturing job on the floor and they did this all the damn time. Then the higher ups would blame us for not meeting quotas that were next to impossible.
     
     The bad product part also stings. One of the final straws was trying to rip my ass for throwing away defective product. I tested the batch, it didn't do what it was suppose to do, I threw out the batch as per protocol.
     
     First it was that I shouldn't have thrown any away. Then it was "we could have salvaged some" which is fucking hilarious because that would have eaten up more time than it would take to make a new batch.
